2008 Dodge Challenger Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix an Oxygen Sensor on 2008 Dodge Challenger?
A: Before starting, lift the car and place it on supports. Detach the wire connector from the O2S sensor, trying not to pull the wire directly as it enters the sensor. With the O2S sensor removal and installation tool, you can take out the oxygen sensor. Make sure to clean the threads in the exhaust with the correct tap before proceeding with installation. Grease or soldering around the oxygen sensor connector must not be done. Always let the engine cool down, since the exhaust manifold, pipes and catalytic converter all become quite hot during operation. For anything with four oxygen sensors, check out the graph showing where those sensors normally are.
