2008 Dodge Charger Parking Brake Shoe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Parking Brake Shoe on Each Side on 2008 Dodge Charger?
A: You should start by getting under the vehicle and raising it to remove the parking brake shoes on both sides. After that, open up the rear hub and take out its bearing. Completely free up the screws that adjust the parking brake shoe. Take out the shipping spring first, then the shoe adjuster. Remove the upper radiator brake shoe hold-down clip and pin and next, the upper brake shoe from the return spring and lever. Take the return spring off the bottom of the shoe and take out the shoe actuator lever from the end of the cable. After that, get rid of the hold-down clip and pin beneath the lower brake shoe. Check the springs, adjuster, lever and aluminum anchor pin for signs of wear or damage and if something is broken, replace it.
