2008 Dodge Dakota Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove a Blower Motor Resistor on 2008 Dodge Dakota?
A: For vehicles with air bags, you need to unplug the air bag system's negative battery cable and wait two minutes for a capacitor on the air bag system to discharge completely. Always let the blower motor stand off for at least five minutes before operating, as the resistor may heat up a lot while working. You should begin by taking out and separating the negative battery cable first. After that, take the glove box out. Push the tab on the harness connector to unlock it, then remove the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor. Following this, get rid of the screws holding the HVAC housing to the blower motor resistor. Then, remove the blower motor resistor from the HVAC housing.
