2007 Dodge Dakota Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain a Blower Motor Resistor on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before beginning service on a blower motor resistor, first turn off the vehicle's air bag system by disconnecting the negative battery cable and allowing the capacitor two minutes to discharge. Just give the blower motor some time to cool before continuing after five minutes. Start by pulling out the negative battery cable from its terminal. After that, take out the glove box and push the wire harness locking tab to separate the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor. After that, free the blower motor resistor from the HVAC housing by taking out the two screws that hold it in place.
