How to Remove an Ignition Lock Cylinder from the Ignition Switch on 2008 Dodge Dakota?

In order to unlock the ignition lock cylinder, one has to put in the key and pull out the negative battery cable. Take off the steering column covers and position the shifter on PARK. Find the retaining pin, switch the key on to RUN, push the pin, and remove the ignition lock cylinder.
