2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Power Steering Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose for Pressure Hose on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Start the work on the power steering line/hose by removing the negative battery cable and separating it from the battery. With the cap on the reservoir taken off, remove the power steering fluid using a siphon pump. After that, unattach the hose linking the air cleaner housing cover and the manifold. Remove the tube nut to take out the pressure hose from the pump. The first, unbolt and unscrew the alternator bracket bolt and nut, then remove the bracket. Disconnect the screw on the stud head below the pressure hose clamp on the intake manifold and then take out the screw holding the clamp to the right side of the engine. With the car lifted, take out the bolt attaching the pressure hose clamp to the side of the front suspension crossmember and the screws holding the routing clamps in position at the rear. Lastly, take out the tube nut to uninstall the pressure hose on the power steering gear, move the hose down behind the front suspension crossmember and remove it.
