How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose for Pressure Hose on 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Before anything else, remove the negative battery cable's connection to prevent accidental damage to the car. Take off the cap on the power steering reservoir and use a pump to siphon out as much fluid as is available. Take out the air cleaner housing cover and unhook the hose from the intake manifold tube now. Loosen the tube nut before you take off the pressure hose from the pump. Unscrew and remove the alternator bracket bolt and nut first and then unscrew and remove the bracket. Take out the screw that fastens the pressure hose routing clamp to the right side of the engine and the other screw that fastens the clamp to the intake manifold. Lift and hold the front of the vehicle, then take out the screw that holds the pressure hose clamp to the crossmember on the right. They will also need to remove each screw securing the routing clamps to the back of the suspension crossmember. Remove the pressure hose from its connection at the power steering gear by turning off the tube nut. To finish the removal, lower the car enough to grab the pressure hose in the engine compartment, keep it high enough to avoid the floor and pull the hose out from drum of the front suspension crossmember.
