How to Maintain and Fix a Shift Cable on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

Prior to service or repair of the shift cable, shift the gear into PARK and raise the vehicle. After that, take the shift cable eyelet off the transmission switch and release the cable from the support bracket. After you notice that the vehicle is lower, get the required console pieces out and reach the shift lever assembly and shift cable inside. pull together, then take out the nuts fastening the seal plate to the floor pan. After that, draw the cable through the opening in the floor panel and remove the shift cable from the car.
