How to Maintain a Washer Pump on a Gasoline Engine on 2008 Dodge Ram 2500?

Service to the windshield washer pump on a gasoline engine begins by isolating the battery negative cable. After that, pull the washer hose away from the barbed outlet nipple 8 of the pump/motor and let the washer fluid drain into a clean bucket that you will save. Separate the right headlamp and dash wire harness connector from plug 1 found on the washer pump/motor unit connector. Pull gently on the top of the washer pump/motor housing, carrying it out from the washer reservoir, to free the snap post 2 from the receptacle 3 inside the reservoir. Pull the washer pump/motor unit enough from the reservoir to release the barbed pump nipple from the rubber grommet seal inside. Afterwards, remove the washer pump/motor unit behind the washer reservoir and remove the rubber grommet from the pump's hole in the bottom of the reservoir.
