How to Remove and Repair a Hood Latch on 2008 Jeep Commander?

Before servicing or repairing the hood latch, remove the hood latch (4). Attention, now separate the release cable from each of the three hood release cable retainers. Then, inside, remove the two screws (3) that hold the hood release handle (1) to the cowl trim panel. Take out the grommet and seal (2) on the cowl panel (1) and disconnect the hood release cable and handle assembly (4).
