2008 Jeep Commander Windshield Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Remove a Windshield on 2008 Jeep Commander?
A: Always read through all the service precautions before taking out the windshield. First, pop off the rear view mirror and then take out the rain sensor from the windshield. Now, get the cowl grille off, making sure no paint is damaged as you remove trim or cut urethane around the car's windshield. First, remove the molding from above the glass, then, using a helper and a metal cut-out tool, cut and pull out the urethane cement holding the glass in place on the windshield brace. After that, remove the windshield carefully from its position on the car.
