How to Maintain the Belt Tensioner on a 3.7L Engine on 2008 Jeep Liberty?

Prior to servicing the accessory drive belt tensioner, make sure to remove the accessory drive belt on a 3.7L engine. After that, separate the tensioner assembly from the engine cover at the front. Bear in mind that because spring tension is very high, the tensioner assembly should not be taken apart, except for its pulley. After that, detach the tensioner chain from the pulley.
