2008 Jeep Liberty Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Radiator to Prevent Overheating on 2008 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before placing the radiator or condenser, make sure the rubber air seals are securely attached at all their original places above and below. Ease the shroud into the opening in the car, making sure the alignment dowels go into the two grommets below on the radiator crossmember. Link the top and bottom hoses together using the hose clamps, placing the tabs on the clamps at the bottom to be straight. Join the coolant reserve/overflow tank hose to the radiator and make sure both radiator mounting bolts are nice and tight. Connect back the electric cooling fan and set in the grille. Attach the cooling fan to the engine and rotate the fan blades by hand to find out if they rub against the fan shroud. Replenish coolant in the system before connecting the battery cable at the battery. After you start the engine, look under the car for possible leaks.
