2008 Jeep Liberty Brake Line Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Left Rear Brake Line on 2008 Jeep Liberty?
A: The first step to servicing the left rear brake line/hose is to put in a prop rod on the brake pedal to hold pressure in the system. After that, take out the brake tube at the HCU and raise and support the vehicle. After that, take off the exhaust and the hanger bracket at the transmission. Afterward, take out the fuel tank. After you are done with the first steps, remove the banjo bolt holding the brake hose in place at the caliper. Pull off the bracket that holds both brake and fuel lines inside the vehicle, then separate the brake line from the bundle of lines on the side of the fuel tank. After separating the ends of the brake hose/line from the clips at the body, remove it from your vehicle.
