How to Remove and Replace the Drive Belt on a 2.0/2.4L Engine on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

It's necessary to first remove the belt splash shield to work on the serpentine accessory drive belt on a 2.0/2.4L engine. After, rotate the belt tensioner clockwise with a wrench until the belt clears the power steering pump pulley, then rest the tensioner so the belt can be taken out freely. You should remove the power steering pump/air conditioning compressor drive belt from the generator belt area. Then, after the pivot bolt, remove the locking nut and adjusting bolt and when all that's done, take out the generator belt.
