  A: You should ground the negative battery cable first and wait two minutes for the air bag system to clear, before proceeding. Remove the air cleaner fresh air duct and the negative battery cable as your first step. Take out the upper and lower shrouds on the steering column after that, then remove the cover of the opening. Open the screw on the right side of the Clock Spring that is holding the multi-function switch in place, then take it off and put it to one side. Move the steering column down as far as it will go and turn the ignition key to Run. Take out the screw securing the Skreem/Wcm to the lock cylinder housing, remove the Skreem/Wcm retainer fingers and set the Skreem/Wcm back in position on the lock cylinder housing. Place the appropriate tool into the hole in the lock cylinder, press down on the key cylinder retaining tab and pull the key cylinder and key together and out of the housing.
