• Q: How to Install an Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

  A: Before installing the ignition lock cylinder, put the actuator in the lock cylinder housing to Run and then insert the key and turn it in the key cylinder to Run. Put the key cylinder into the lock cylinder housing by guiding the retaining tab into the right position and the key cylinder will lock in place. Move the key from On to Off, keeping the On position for only a few seconds and then reinstall it to confirm that micro-kernel mode and lock housing are all working properly. Slide the Skreem/Wcm ring (2) over the lock cylinder, then press the retaining fingers into the small holes on the housing (3). Connect the Skreem/Wcm (2) to the lock cylinder housing (3), place screw (1) and tighten to 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.). Place the underside of the mounting tab on the right multi-function switch (1) against the mounting bracket on the Clock Spring (3) and fasten them with screw (2). After installing the steering column opening cover, join the upper (1) and then the lower (2) steering column shouds. After that, fit the air cleaner fresh air duct (2) and take off and isolate the negative battery lead at the battery, then check that all steering column instruments are working properly.
