How to Ensure Proper Installation of a Steering Wheel on 2009 Dodge Dakota?

Before installing the steering wheel, change the old bolt with a new bolt (4) so you don't reuse the old one. Bring the ends of the steering wheel spline together with the column's shaft, then attach the wheel onto the top of the steering column. To guarantee correct function of the Clock Spring, the steering wheel mounting bolt needs to be tightened with the right torque. Fasten the new steering wheel bolt (4) with a torque level of 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Put the air bag for the driver (3) onto the steering wheel.
