Service the steering wheel by turning off and removing the driver's side
Air Bag before you begin working. Take out part of the steering wheel bolt and leave the rest left in the steering column. Apply puller CJ98-1 or its similar tool to the top of the bolt and push on it. Get rid of the existing steering wheel bolt. After that, attach the new steering wheel, making sure the spline on the steering wheel hub fits onto the column shaft. Put on the new steering wheel bolt, tightening it to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) to make sure the
Clock Spring works as it should. Then, put the air bag for the driver back onto the steering wheel.
