2009 Dodge Durango Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install a Front Wiper Arm on 2009 Dodge Durango?
A: The wiper motor should be placed in park before you install the front wiper arms. After the wipers are still, press the ignition switch back to Off. When you park the motor, you must index the front wiper arms to the pivot shafts. Link the pivot end of the wiper arm to the lower edge of the pivot shafts so that the wiper blade sits parallel to the lines hidden in the upper part of the lower windshield blackout area. Release some spring tension by pulling the front wiper arm slightly away from the windshield, then slide it down over the pivot shaft. Tighten the nuts that hold the wiper arm to the pivot shaft to 44.5 Nm (33 ft. lbs.). Wet the front window, use the wipers, flip the wiper switch to the Off position and look at the wiper arms to see if they're in the correct spot.
