  • Q: How to Maintain a Wiper Motor on 2009 Dodge Durango?
    A: In order to maintain the front wiper motor, first, unhook the battery negative cable from the car. For vehicles with the HEV system, it's necessary to have a trained HEV technician take out the high voltage disconnect from the battery. After that, take out both front wiper arms from the wiper pivots. After that, remove the grille cover that encapsulates the front wiper module. Take out the wire harness connector from the front wiper motor. Place two large screwdrivers between the wiper motor crank arm and the drive link and push until the socket on the drive link detaches from the ball stud. Free the sleeve bushing at the end of the left wiper drive link from the ball stud on the wiper motor crank arm. Make certain the wiper motor is well supported as you remove the three screws that are securing it to the wiper module bracket from above. Then, remove the wiper motor and crank arm from their spot beneath the module bracket.
