To replace the intake and exhaust valves, remove first the cylinder head(s) and rocker arm assembly and the valve spring(s). Removing burrs from valve stem lock grooves to prevent damage to valve guides and identifying valves for proper reinstallation. Finally, remove the valves of the cylinder head.
