How to Install an Ignition Coil on a 5.7L Engine on 2009 Dodge Ram 2500?

The first thing you should do is blow away any dirt or filth from above the spark plug using a blast of compressed air. After cleaning the boots, insert some dielectric grease on each of the spark plug boots before fitting the coil. Slide the ignition coil above the valve cover and push it to the spark plugs. Place the two coil mounting bolts into the holes in the head and tighten them to 7 Nm (62 in.lbs.). Clip the electrical connector onto the coil of the speaker as the final step.
