2009 Dodge Ram 2500 Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Steering Knuckle on 2009 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: The first step to servicing the steering knuckle is to support the vehicle, then proceed to take off the wheel and tire. After that, remove the brake caliper, rotor, shield and ABS wheel speed sensor if present. Open the tie rod end nut and use Remover 9360 to part the tie rod from the knuckle. Undo the upper ball joint nut and then use crowbar 8677 to separate the ball joint from the knuckle, being very careful not to damage the seal. Once done, take out the ball joint lower nut and use your puller to push the joint off the knuckle, then get the knuckle out. Then, remove the hub or bearing from the steering knuckle.
