How to Service and Repair a Ball Joint in an Independent Front Suspension on 2009 Dodge Ram 2500?

Before fixing the ball joints of the independent front suspension, lift the car, take out the wheel and retract the tire. After that, remove the upper ball joint retaining nut and split the upper ball joint from the knuckle by using Ball Joint Remover 9360. With the wheels off, take out the wire from the knuckle and move the knuckle so you can see the ball joint. Remove the boot from the ball joint and set a block of wood between the control arm and frame bracket to give you room for the press tool. Extreme pressure lubricate all threaded parts of the tool to support its long working life and avoid problems during assembling and taking it apart. Use Ball Joint Press C-4212F, Ball Joint Remover 9770-1 and Ball Joint Remover 9770-2 to push the ball joint from the upper control arm.
