2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to install a Brake Master Cylinder on 2009 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: Before placing the brake master cylinder, ensure the output rod from the brake booster is in the correct place and is kept by its retaining ring, then insert it through the master cylinder plunger sleeve. Before fitting, make certain a vacuum seal is present along both the shoulder by the master cylinder flange and the master cylinder neck, so the new part will be properly sealed to the booster. Guide the master cylinder plunger over the output rod of the booster, then slide the master cylinder in place onto the rod before securing it with the flange holes and tailer mounting studs. Gently place the master cylinder around the studs and fit new nuts on, then fasten the nuts with 25 Nm (221 in. lbs.) of torque. Now, install the brake lines tightly at 19 Nm (170 in. lbs.) and reconnect the electrical wire of the low fluid detector. Afterward, fill up and bleed the base brake system.
