How to Install a Theft Security Horn on 2009 Jeep Compass?

Before you install the vehicle theft security siren, make sure the two U-nuts (3) are present and securely fitted on the outboard side of the right front fender load path beam. Install and tighten the two screws (2) holding the module (1) in place using the U-nuts in the load path beam to secure the alarm siren bracket, with 5 Nm (40 in. lbs) of tightness. Attach the two wire harness connectors from the engine compartment, then put the splash shield back into the right front wheel house. In the end, link the negative battery cable back to its place. If you replace the alarm siren module with a new model, you must use a diagnostic scan tool to set up and configure the new unit in the Intrusion Transceiver Module (Itm), after that perform the Initialize Siren procedure as described in the Miscellaneous Functions for Intrusion Transceiver Module/Itm menu of the manual.
