  A: Check the rubber seal of the mating edge of the antilock brake module (ABM) before you do anything else. Remove any debris near where the ABM and the hydraulic control unit (HCU) mate. Hold the pressure sensor gently during installation so that it is not damaged and requires HCU replacement. Make sure the ABM solenoids and the pump/motor wires fit into the same hose as the HCU valve and wire, then place the ABM over the HCU. Fit the ABM to the HCU with four screws and tighten them to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.). With the release lever fully up, put the connector on the ABM stick and turn the release lever to lock it under the release tab. After that, insert the ABM wiring connector into its socket and attach the negative battery cable to its post. After that, connect the scan tool to start the ABM, erase any stored errors, perform the ABS test and drive the vehicle on the road for testing.
