- Q: How to Remove a Front Seat Cover on 2009 Jeep Liberty?A: First, remove the side shields to take off the front seat cover. Afterwards, separate the J-straps holding the seat cushion assembly to the seat cushion frame. Take out the seat cushion assembly, disconnecting any cable connections attached and lift the front to remove it. Reach for the sides of the cover and pull the hook and loop strips apart as you fold the cover back to view the hog ring fasteners. Pop all the hog rings and disconnect the seat cover from the cushion. When the car is so equipped, take out the seat cushion heating unit as well.
