2010 Jeep Liberty Seat Cover Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Rear Seat Cover on 2010 Jeep Liberty?
A: Start by putting the rear seat cover over the 60 seat cushion before folding the cover to fix new hog rings that hold the cover tight to the cushion. After that, attach the cover and cushion to the frame of the seat cushion and properly secure all the J-straps in the front and back. Clamp the seat cover plastic brackets onto the seat frame, set the front floor bracket assembly under the cushion and attach the bolts, tightening them to 10 Nm (88.5 in. lbs.). Seat the cable housing in the housing bracket and clip the seat cushion cover into place. Attach the 60 seat onto the lift mechanism, place the left seat bolt and turn it 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Next, attach the pivot bolt to the component and bracket on the floor and tighten it to the same tightness. When you have the 40 seat cushion, fit the cover to the seat cushion frame and then fold the cover over to access the areas where you fix hog rings. Put the seat cover together with the cushion, position the J straps and fasten the plastic retaining clips to the frame. Place the seat cushion assembly over the pivot bolt and turn it down into the floor brackets. After that, bolt the seat to the right bracket on the 40 seat and tighten it to 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Hook the cable housing and snap the seat cushion cover clips in place. After that, affix the front bracket legs to the cushion assembly, insert the bolts, tighten them to 10 Nm (88.5 in. lbs.) of torque and connect the cable and rear seat.
