How to Remove a Wiper Motor on 2009 Jeep Liberty?

Unplug and isolate the car's negative battery cable before you start working on the wiper motor. Then, pop the rear wiper arm from the rear wiper motor output shaft; you can leave the output shaft grommet and bezel (1) in place. After that, take out the trim panel from the inside of the liftgate (2). Take the wire harness connector off the rear wiper motor (2) and unscrew the three bolts (3) that keep the motor bracket attached to the liftgate inner panel. After you've removed the motor, pull off the bezel and rubber grommet (1) from the output shaft clearance hole in the outer liftgate panel and protect the paint finish of the panel while taking them off.
