2009 Jeep Wrangler Car Speakers Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service Car Speakers on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To deal with the speakers, first unhook the negative battery cable to switch off the air bags and after it disconnects, wait two minutes to let the air bag system capacitor drain out. For a tweeter, pull the negative battery cable out, take off the fasteners, detach the tweeter and get rid of the connector. To deal with the driver instrument panel speaker, cut the battery's negative Cable and remove the cover of the steering column; the cap in front of the instrument panel and the amplifier. Take out the electrical connector, remove the fasteners on the left panel and draw the left panel slowly outward to create room needed for the removal from the end cap. Before removing the speaker for the passenger instrument panel, disconnect the battery negative cable, remove the glove box, open the instrument panel end cap, disconnect the electrical connections, remove the mounting screws and then remove the speaker. For the sound bar, unplug the negative battery cable, remove all fasteners holding the speaker cover grille, open the grille to remove the speaker and then disconnect the main cable connector. Remove the battery's negative cord from the subwoofer, remove any screws or clips holding the subwoofer in place, take out the subwoofer cover grille, remove the speaker and remove the speaker's electric connector.
