Lay the exhaust manifold on the cylinder head and fix bolts to the center runner of cylinder #4. Start by tightening them to 2.8 Nm. After that, install the heat shield on the manifold and tighten the remaining bolts to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.). Screw the heat shield nut onto the engine block securely until it hits 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). After that, secure the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold by tightening each bolt to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). The last step is to attach the left side oxygen sensors and link the battery negative cable back up.
