2008 Jeep Wrangler Exhaust Manifold Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install an Exhaust Manifold on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Place the exhaust manifold on the cylinder head and first screw in the bolts at the center of cylinder #4 to 2.8 Nm (25 in. lbs.). After that, secure the heat shield directly over the manifold and tighten all remaining attaching bolts at 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.). Fasten the heat shield to the engine using an attaching nut turned to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) and then attach the pipe to the exhaust manifold using 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) of torque. In the end, attach the left side oxygen sensors and once more connect the battery negative cable when you are done.
