How to Safely Service a Blower Motor Resistor on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Make sure the negative battery cable is disconnected and isolated before you start service on the blower motor resistor. Get rid of the grille window on the passenger side and then yank out the blower motor resistor (1) to detach the tabs. Remove the lock on the connector and take out the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor as the next step. Take the blower motor resistor out of the car after five minutes if it was previously powered on, as it heats up during running. Always remember to leave the blower motor resistor in place when operating the blower motor to keep the vehicle from being damaged.
