  A: Before you begin, turn off the air bag system by removing the negative battery cable and wait for two minutes so that the air bag system's capacitor has time to discharge. Start by taking off the negative battery cable. After that, pull the bezel in the center out of the instrument panel to access the back of the A/C-heater button. Unhook the wires from the clock, the power window switches and the accessory switches where installed. Remember where each control cable is before removing them. Put the tip of a small screwdriver into each retaining clip on the A/C-heater control and pop them open, then release the cables from both the mode and temperature control levers. Disconnect the end connectors on the A/C-heater control and then place the center bezel on a workbench. Then, remove the four screws holding the A/C-heater control to the rear side of the center bezel and take out the control.
