2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Coolant Temperature Sensor in 2.0L and 2.4L Engines on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Before working on the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor for both of these engines, always disconnect the negative battery cable first. When working on the non-turbo version, pull some water from the cooling system, behind the level of the engine coolant temperature sensor and disconnect the electric cable. For the turbo model, break the negative battery connection and drain the cooling system just below the coolant temperature sensor. After that, pull the upper torque strut out, disconnect the electrical link and remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
