How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lock Cylinder on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The first step to servicing or repairing the lock cylinder is to isolate the negative battery cable. After that, take out the latch control. After that, release the lock cylinder from the liftgate by removing the retainer clip and then take the lock cylinder and the gasket out together. Please don't remove the E-clip from the back of the lock cylinder.
