2010 Chrysler Town & Country Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Brake Disc on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Before replacing the front brake rotor/disc, raise and support the vehicle. Then, take away the wheel mounting nuts which will allow you to remove the entire tire and wheel bundle. On rare occasions, easing out the piston slightly will help you remove the caliper from the knuckle by giving plenty of space around the pads and rotor; this should be attempted by pulling outward on the inboard caliper and working with the guide pins. Next, after releasing the bolts holding the disc brake caliper and adapter bracket onto the steering knuckle, remove both the caliper and adapter bracket as a unit and use a wire or bungee cord to hang it up out of your way, making sure the brake hose stays stretched enough. Lastly, take out the clips that keep the brake rotor to the studs and free the rotor from the hub and bearing.
