2010 Chrysler Town & Country Parking Brake Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable for Front on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: The front parking brake cable should be serviced by releasing the brake, then raising and holding up the car. Release the tension by using your hands on the parking brake lever assembly. Slip the front cable out from the routing clips found in the underbody. Pull the front cable from the middle bracket by squeezing the fingers at the cap end of the cable with the wrench. Hold the automobile down and eliminate the left front door sill scuff plate along with the lower cowl trim from inside the wheel arch. Disconnect the parking brake lever retaining clips and take out the hook at the parking brake lamp switch. Take the three mounting nuts out and put the parking brake lever onto the driver's floor. See how the cable connects to the lever for reassembly before pulling the front cable button out. Press both sides of the front cable retainer fingers and pull the cable away from the parking brake lever. Slide the carpet back to remove the cable routing clip from the weld stud, unhook the cable seal from the floor pan and draw the parking brake cable out through the floor pan hole.
