2010 Chrysler Town & Country Brake Booster Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Brake Booster and Master Cylinder on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: You should always place a new dash seal on the booster mounting studs before installing the power brake booster. Put together the brake booster and guide the push rod and mounting studs inside the vehicle through the dash, placing the vacuum check valve at the 10 o'clock position on the brake booster face. Secure the brake booster onto the engine block using the four power brake mounting nuts, tightened to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Slide the push rod onto the brake pedal pin, attach a new retaining clip and secure the push rod to the brake pedal. When the pedals have adjustments, place and set the stop lamp switch in the pedal assembly; when they are non-adjustable, put the switch in the pedal area as needed. Link the vacuum hose to the check valve you find on the booster's face. Adding the master cylinder requires a brand-new vacuum seal. Fit the master cylinder first and attach the battery afterward. Make sure the master cylinder has clean, fresh Mopar(R) Brake Fluid, then bleed the brakes. When you reach your destination, give the brakes a proper test while driving on the road.
