2010 Chrysler Town & Country Evaporator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Service the Front A/C Evaporator on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Start by removing and isolating the negative battery cable to completely turn off the air bag system. After that, wait two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge. Doing this is crucial to keep air bags from going off accidentally and possibly hurting someone. It is necessary to uncouple the car's HVAC box and break it down to get to the A/C evaporator. Take out the outer casing and put it onto a workbench for better access. Take apart parts of the HVAC housing if that helps you access the A/C evaporator. Lift the A/C evaporator gently out of where it sits in the lower HVAC chamber. When needed, remove any insulation that surrounds the A/C evaporator.
