2010 Chrysler Town & Country HVAC Pressure Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an HVAC Pressure Switch on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Anytime you remove the HVAC pressure switch, replace its O-ring first so no refrigerant leaks can occur while the unit is apart. Before installing a new rubber O-ring seal, coat it lightly with special refrigerant oil and make sure it is only the O-ring made out of R-134a material and that you are using the correct oil as well. After that, place the HVAC pressure switch (2) on the fitting and make sure it is tightened to 5.6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). Connect the fitting from the harness (1) to the HVAC pressure switch and then mount the air cleaner assembly and its ducting again. After that, reattach the negative battery cable.
