2010 Dodge Avenger Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Brake Master Cylinder on 2010 Dodge Avenger?
A: Before taking the brake master cylinder out of a left-hand drive vehicle, make sure the power brake booster's vacuum is gone by either stomping on the brake pedal a few times or by removing and replacing the check valve without damaging the grommet. Remove the negative battery cable and set it apart and then unplug the wiring harness connector connected to the brake fluid level switch inside the master brake fluid reservoir. After that, take the primary and secondary brake lines off the master cylinder and cover any now uncovered brake tube ends with plugs. If you have a manual transaxle, loosen and slide the hose of the clutch performer off the reservoir port. After you check the adjustment of the pushrod, be sure to clean the master cylinder attachment to the power brake booster carefully. Then, unscrew the two nuts on the master cylinder and slide it straight out of the power brake booster.
