2010 Dodge Caliber Clutch Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Clutch Master Cylinder on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: Start by turning off the cables to the negative battery before servicing the Clutch Master Cylinder. Following this, take out the air cleaner assembly. Remove the hydraulic tube from the presture line of the clutch master cylinder by pulling the clip and the tube and cap it to ensure no fluid leaks out. To get rid of all the liquid, take off the cap on the brake master cylinder and release the fluid into a container that can contain it. Cut the end of the supply tube coming from the clutch master cylinder. Let go of the bezel from the lower dashboard and remove the clutch master cylinder pushrod located on the clutch pedal. Take care when getting the clutch master cylinder out, since being too rough can harm the tube and cause the clutch to release improperly upon reassembly. Take the master cylinder assembly out of its place by first turning it slightly, then gently removing it from inside the engine compartment.
