2010 Dodge Caliber Washer Reservoir Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Washer Reservoir on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: The first step to removing the windshield washer reservoir is to isolate the negative battery cable. Then, detach the fasteners holding the coolant reserve tank or pressure tank for a gasoline or diesel engine to the inboard part of the washer's reservoir and lift the container out of the way to reach it. Pour the washer fluid out of the reservoir (1) and put it in a fresh container to use again. Push in the washer pump/motor connector (7) to unplug it from the engine compartment harness, but first observe how the washer pipes are fitted on both ends. Separate the front and rear washer hoses (3) from the reservoir tubes connected up top on the right front strut tower. To reach the washer reservoir filler neck in diesel engine vehicles, you may have to take apart one screw on the front of the strut tower, separate the differential pressure sensor and again assemble the screw so it holds the sensor. Untwist screw (2) which keeps the bracket (4) for the mounting tab on the reservoir filler neck secured in the right front strut tower. If you have the headlight leveling system, dismount first and pull the right front lens a little to make room for removing the headlamp leveling motor. Release the washer reservoir by pulling up on it so the post on its underside disconnects from the hole in the horizontal extension of the right front wheel house and then remove the reservoir from inside the engine compartment.
