2010 Dodge Caliber Wiper Motor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Wiper Motor on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: First, pop a new rubber grommet into the clearance hole in the liftgate glass using the rear wiper motor output shaft, to ensure it is installed properly. Make sure the three U-nuts are placed correctly and in good shape inside the liftgate inner panel. Once you have taken out the wiper motor, add Mopar(R) Nye Synthetic Lubricant or Fluorocarbon Gel 880 Synthetic Lubricant, to the shaft just below the taper to contact the grommet before setting it back in place to avoid early grommet wear, added loads on the motor and leaks of any water. Then, direct the rear wiper motor shaft through the rubber grommet on the liftgate glass, screw the motor and bracket together as one to the appropriate U-nuts inside the liftgate and attach the bracket to the liftgate with three screws. Connect the wire harness, clip the trim onto the liftgate and place the rear wiper arm onto its output shaft. After that, reattach the negative battery cable to the battery terminal.
