2010 Dodge Challenger ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install an ABS Control Module Without Using Lubricants on 2010 Dodge Challenger?
A: Don't apply any lubricant to the new O-rings or solenoid valve stem seals if you are fitting the Electronic Brake Control Module. The first step is to clear the mating areas of the Hydraulic Control Unit and Anti-Lock Brake Module of any debris. Replace any old seal on the solenoid valve stem so that moisture and dirt are prevented from passing into your air tools. Should you notice the pump/motor connector O-ring is not new, change it and make sure it is seated correctly in the groove. Install the Anti-Lock Brake Module on the Hydraulic Control Unit after aligning the parts and fix it with four screws tightened to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Hold the Integrated Control Unit above the grommets in the body side rail and fit the mounting bracket down into place. Attach the rear brake tubes to the routing clip underneath the Fuse and Relay Center and follow the same step for the right front brake tube. Bolt the brake tubes onto the two routing clips that are attached to the upper radiator support. Prior to hooking the Anti-Lock Brake Module, make sure the cavity seal is in place correctly. Insert the harness connector into the ABS module and lock it by snapping the cover. After that, secure the battery negative cable onto the negative post correctly and use the ABS Verification Test to clear out any possible problems.
