2010 Dodge Challenger Parking Brake Shoe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the Parking Brake Shoe on Each Side on 2010 Dodge Challenger?
A: Before you take the parking brake shoes out, raise and support the vehicle. After that, remove the rear hub and its bearing. Remove all pressure from the parking brake shoe adjustment. Eliminate the parking brake shoe adjuster spring prior to the shoe adjuster. Pull the upper brake shoe hold-down clip and pin from its location, then remove the upper shoe from the return spring and shoe actuator lever. Take the return spring out of the lower shoe and then remove the lever at the end of the cable from the shoe actuator. Remove the lower side brake shoe's hold-down clip and pin as the last step and then take the brake shoe down. Evaluate the springs, adjuster, lever and aluminum shoe anchor pin; if they are damaged, change them accordingly.
