How to Service and Repair a Blend Door Actuator Safely on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Before servicing or repairing the Air Door Actuator/Motor, make sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, wait two minutes and then turn the air bag system off to keep the air bags from accidentally deploying. The first thing to do is to remove the negative battery cable. If your vehicle is so equipped, take out the silencer from the passenger side of the instrument panel. After that, remove the lower glove box bin from the instrument panel and take out the lower trim panel to open the mode door actuator. Unhook the screws holding the mode door actuator to the bracket beneath the passenger side HVAC housing and take the actuator out. After that, pull the red tab free, disconnect the wire harness from the actuator by the connector and take the actuator out of the vehicle.
